Could a fabulous opportunity await the all-girl soul band "Truly Sublime?"

All they have to do is call the number on a mysterious flyer to be part of a luxurious reality TV show on a private island and propel themselves into the spotlight.

But is this island a prosperous paradise filled with the promise of opportunity, or a deadly game of cat and mouse for those desperate enough to heed it's siren call?

The singers arrive on the island only to find it deserted and what should have been a simple audition descends into a struggle for survival.

Hi Double :)

That was scary and well made, the ghost and wife is my favorite ending.

👻❤️👩

Hi Anwynn :)

I'm so glad you liked that ending! Thank you very much.

I wanted to focus more on their blossoming relationship but I ran out of time and had to cut a lot.

Might use the stuff I cut in a different game in future!

I understand it is difficult to do something within a limited time, another game in the future sounds a nice idea :)

I had so much fun recording this! 😄 I was so intrigued by the story and loved the suspense throughout the game! It had such a great atmosphere. There were some really fun twists as well (loved the control room scene lol).

Wow, thank you so much! I've watched a couple of your videos and I love how you present your channel.

It was amazing to see you interact with the game! It was also wonderful to hear it read out. You really brought the lines of dialogue to life.

Thanks again and good luck with your visual novel (plaTonic) in the jam!

Oh, my gosh thank you so much!! That's so incredibly kind! I've genuinely been having so much fun recording games from the Spooktober VN Jam - it helps me get really into reading the games :-D

And thank you! It honestly has just felt so amazing releasing our first game. No matter what participating in the jam was soooo rewarding <3

This was so much fun!! I'm definitely a sucker for survival horror reality-type stuff, so this was right up my alley! And you did such a fantastic job of setting up the story and characters!

Right away, there's an unnerving sense of mystery about the whole thing, from the strange note, to the bandmate who's died. And these are backdropped so well by the music and aesthetics! I'm in love with how you handled the BGs—there was something so absolutely strange and sparse about them? Particularly the colors and how they all had a bit of a pink wash to them, it felt extraordinarily surreal and kept me tense the entire time I was walking around the island and house.

The sprites are adorable! The art style is so much fun and I really loved how much character each of the four main ladies had. And I loved the dynamics between them—you could really get a feel for all the past build-up of emotions, tension, feelings, relationships between them. I particularly enjoyed the back-and-forths between Penelope and Iris and how that developed over the course of the game—LEADING TO THE ENDING GUHHHHH. I got the "Possession" ending and am now really intrigued as to what the other endings could be and how to get them. I'll have to try picking some other choices 🤭

Just overall a really lovely job. Great story with a twist, some really tense moments (LIKE THE PART IN THE CONTROL ROOM GUH), well-directed scenes, and a great building mystery that all come to a head beautifully at the end! Absolutely great work! 💕

I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks for the amazing feedback. It's super helpful.

The house backgrounds is where it all came from. I saw them on pexels and thought "I need to use these for something." It all kind of spiralled from there.

Cheers for playing it and (if you get a chance) I hope you enjoy the other endings.

This was so good! :D I feel like it's one of those stories that would work really well as a full-length horror movie :3

The sprites are gorgeous, and I know you said the backgrounds and stuff are creative commons assets, but I think they're great choices because they all suit the story really well.

And then there's the soundtrack which was fantastic :3 My personal favourite tracks were the one that starts playing in basement 2, and then the one that starts playing during the reveal. But I love the soundtrack as a whole!

Awesome job :3 The game really is Truly Sublime <3

Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm still learning to make visual novels, so this is all very encouraging :D

I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Will there be a mac build?

(+1)

Hi there,

I've just put one up. Unfortunately I can't test on mac yet but it's not incredibly intensive so I'm hopeful it will work.

If there's any problems let me know and I'll do my best to fix them.

Cheers!
